I just got my first macro lens last week. I love it!

Any input on my shots is welcome. Criticism ahoy!

    these are really nice shots,
what 90mm lens is this ? Is it new new or just new to you ?
Im curious cause I might want to pick one up for portraits
    but depends on its speed

That's the exact lens. I haven't used it wide open, or for portaits yet. I've been shooting most of my portraits with the 50mm f1.8 or the 85mm f1.8, which I adore. It makes outstanding results @ f2.8 - f4. Below 2.8 it's got some definite green fringing. Part of that could be the pairing with the d50 too.

awesome work. Can't wait to see more. You've got control of the lighting an aperture already.

    Thanks for the comments everybody!

Here are a few more. I feel like I'm getting the feel for controlling the lens now, so don't be afraid to judge harshly! :)
