Out before sunrise and it still took me an hour and a half to move 75 feet to get close enough to get decent shots.
It was still overcast and dim lighting so I was putting the IS to the test.
I am still amazed at the size of fish that these guys can manage to eat.

Having seen these so early this morning, it is already a great day. Just amazing, particularly the first two and the last one.
 
excellent set. lots of pike in them waters which means lots of blue gill, sunfish, and bass. May consider bringing some fishing gear.
 
Great job getting into position and getting really good shots. Thanks for sharing.
We have some of those wading birds in this area but rarely see more than one at a time.
 
Stealth gave you some really great action shots. They are something you don't always see with great blues. For me, it's usually just a lot of standing and staring. The egret pic is beautiful.
