Alien Bees B800 in a 50" Westcott Apollo softbox a few degrees to the left of dead center on the subject. There is also a recessed light in the soffit directly over his head. However, being as it was shot at 1/200 with the AB at 3/4 power, it didn't have much affect on the overall image.

I'm a sucker for B&W people pictures, so I like #2 the best. #1 would also work well as B&W. #3 does nothing for me.

Thanks guys! I had a Alien Bee B800 in a Westcott 50" apollo softbox facing him, but had him turn slightly away from the soft box so that the light wouldn't wrap around his nose, etc.
