Guess where I was this weekend?!?! Indianapolis, Indiana, home of one of NASCAR's biggest races -- the Brickyard 400. Here's some shots I took before the race started...
1. Entering the racetrack... hundreds of thousands of people all trying to get in at once. I still managed to snap this shot, though.
2. This is the main section of the infield. The spotters sit on top here, where they can see all the way around the track.
3. Motorcycle cops... these guys do tricks on their bikes as part of the pre-race excitement. (read right to left)
4. We have seats in the shade ever year , which was good for us, since it was over 90 degrees F on Sunday, and over 200 people at the event were treated for heat exhaustion.
5. Where's Waldo? Another shot of one small corner of the track
More later!
