bright cloud and rainbow

Okay, I'm sitting here at the computer researching tents for the new pickup bed and BLAM! Shut off the spot light already!!

I look out the window and there's this HUGE and BRIGHT cloud outside to the east, reflecting the setting sun right in the window like a giant mirror or something.

And then I looked to the southeast about 5 minutes later and this was on view:

It was much more intense than it is here. I can never seem to capture all the glory of rainbows, though this is my best effort to date. I really need to figure out how to do this.

I've never tried to capture rainbow.... never had the camera with me when I see a rainbow.

woohoo - Yay for rainbows! I love 'em! I always underexpose my rainbow shots slightly - i think you did fantastic job capturing and exposing it here - i might detect a very faint blue cast - but it could be my monitor.
