Oh, my bad. I now realize you must have meant burgers to be fed to penguins. They like them, especially with cheese.

And the penguin queen said, "Let them eat cake!"

To heck with 'them', let ME eat cake!!! Like Gü sticky toffee, brownies, chocolate orange torte, chocolate lava cake....

Hrumph. :( And here you keep advertising how nice Canadians are supposed to be.

All's fair in love, war, and first dibs at the desserts!!! (Seriously, check out the Gü line of desserts while you're in the UK.)

Mmm dibs...

(You definitely don't have to tell me twice to try any desserts )

Ah.. The UK is the Land of the Pudding - then it's on to France, Gatteaux Land...
But I warn you, you will be walking back if you get too heavy for the car.

 I was already thinking of losing a couple of lbs so that my gain during the trip wouldn't have as bad of an overall effect. Though I suppose the walk back would do me some good if I ended up gaining that much.

pudding? black pudding? white pudding?

There's definitely a trend by the Brits to pick thoroughly unappetizing names for their edibles. Like Spotted Dick, black pudding, jellied eels, pigstrotters, stargazy pie, mushy peas etc And then of course, some of them are just plain unappetizing period (like stargazy pie, stewed eels with liquor (a vile green sauce), tripe etc etc)
