Hi friends, I am about to buy a new lens for my Nikon D7000. I am looking at 50mm (g) ((((I was thinking maybe to go with (d) since my D7000 will support autofocus)))) as the lens of my choice, but would like to ask you guys for any recommendations. My passion is landscape, and since I put all my saving into the camera I can’t afford expensive lens (more that 350). Thank you.

P.S. What you think about 35mm Nikkor I believe it is the same price.

I have a Sigma 18-135mm used mostly for landscape photos, which works well. I am saving up for something a bit "wider" around 11-16 or 12-24 range.

If you have the kit lens (18-55mm), spend money on a decent tripod.

If you already have a decent tripod, I'd keep saving until you can afford a lens around $500-$600. There are several very nice wide-angles available at that range. 50 and 35 would both be too tight as a primary landscape lens for me. You can certainly use them, but if you're buying a lens just for landscapes, get something wider.
