    Some pictures of a bison I took pictures of while hiking the backcountry trails by Amethyst Mountain in Yellowstone. This guy was waaaay up there.

    Welcome to the forum.

    I like the composition of the shots, it really shows the wide open space of the location. It's a really tricky exposure, the bison is so dark and everything else is quite bright. The first one gives us a good look at him...but he's just a black blob in the other ones. Maybe you could have had an assistant run up there an use a reflector to light him up....;)

    All three could use some post processing, I think. And a polarizing wouldn't have hurt.

    But of the three I like the second one best. I like the way it shows the buffalo, and also manages to put it into perspective with the landscape making the whole thing seem wide open and wild. :thumbsup:
