Building being reclaimed by the forest

This place has been completely abandoned for over 20 years.

1. Is there an editing program I can use to correct the glare that I got in the upper right corner of this photo? I don't have Photoshop, but sooner or later I'll probably spring for it. I downloaded Gimp but haven't explored it yet.

3. I'm also wondering how possible it is to correct the washout of light in the center of this one. I really like the photo, but it seems like it's got a major flaw. I'm not sure if there's any way I could have taken it differently to prevent the problem.

the place looks great, certainly. however it appears not easy to be captured

i think 5 is by far the best, while 4 looks the most boring (not the scene itself, but the perspective).
