I've used bulk ink feeders for both the 1160 and and now the 1280. I've used it with b&w inks, though. One was the Niagra and the other is from MIS associates. They worked well. I did have clogging issues, but that was probably a combination of the pigment inks being run through dye printers, and the fact that I would go for stretches without printing. Id say if you print only occasionally, or only in short bursts, go with refill kits and refill the carts. If you actually do print a lot, go with the bulk feeders. They do save a lot of money over time and save the hassle of refilling.
