    Taken last Saturday.

EXIF: 1/80s f/22.0 ISO800 105mm f/2.8 macro, ring flash at -1.0 EV (I was bracketing, and the critter moved... still I think it is about right exposure-wise), i-TTL aperture priority. Cropped and resized in Capture NX, as usual no PhotoShop or advanced post processing used.

Great image! Which ring flash did you go with? The lighiting looks great. I'm seeing more and more Macros, I think the forum needs a Macro section. :)

The super-cheapo Dot Line DL-DRF14/N Macro Ringlight Flash for Nikon i-TTL.

    i-TTL Cheapo Ring Flash

I will do a full review on it when I take a few more shots... so far, so good.

Hi folks :) I'm new here and came across this thread while learning about ring flashes.

sabbath999, that is a nice shot! Are you still happy with that "cheapo" flash? That one I might be able to afford.

    TIA
