buying camera-action dslr

im looking to buy a used dslr that would be good for action photography(paintball, so i must be able to take multiple pictures as quickly as possible). Given my budget of a few hundred dollars im guessing im looking at cameras that are 2-3 years old.

Any general advice or specefic models to look at?

you can't buy a dslr for a few hundred dollars. the cheapest thing you'll find that's even worth buying is a canon 300d or 10d...both used you can find for like $500 or so. i'd recommend the 10d over the 300d, but you might have a harder time finding it in your price range.

I just picked up a new Pentax *istDL for $500 after rebate. That's about as low as you can get for new so I would think you can find a used one a little cheaper.

would you consider film? you can find a nice used one for mayne around $100 or even less if you get lucky
