Well, Sigma makes a couple of lenses with stabilization, they just don't call it IS (that is a Canon company trademark). Nikon uses VR (for "vibration reduction"). Sigma calls their image stabilization "OS" and have a new one that is supposed to be not bad. You can see it here: Clicky
