I think it turned out well.
Yea, it's nice shot.
I like it.
It has a nice balance of color. The OOF region is a little too sharp, so it's distracting. You might try reversing the image left/right. That will draw the eye to the right more. As it stands, your right-of-center target is empty.
Your main subject occupies a little more than 1/4 the frame. The negative space on the right doesn't direct attention to the main subject, rather it tends to draws attention away from the main subject.
Directly behind the main subject is an OOF secondary subject that also draws some attention.
There is little contrast between the color of the flowers and all the green in the rest of the photo so the main subject doesn't 'pop'.

That's a nice edit Keith. I was going to say the same about the subject vs the background and the amount of space dedicated to subject to make it the main focal point.

what I wanted to do when i saw this picture.
it needed some contrast.
Bmilliker, if you have the raw file you could do the same with better quality.
