Took these two in a cemetery, and I barely messed with the tones in Photoshop at all with this. It just had good natural lighting. Which one looks better, and what changes would you make to either? Thanks for your time.

Definitely a subject which works well in B&W, but the image itself has a couple of issues in my opinion. It's slightly under-exposed with a definite blue caste (cold WB) and isn't quite straight in the image. Additionally, the patch of branches(?) lower RH corner are rather distracting and could do with being cloned out and the DoF seems a little shallow, as the neck area appears soft.

The conversion isn't bad, but suffers from the under-exposure of the original which is making the dark crystals in the granite stand out more than normal, and give the statue a very 'spotty' appearance. I think this one should be reshot, and perhaps bracket 1/3 and 1/2 stop over and try again.

Just my $00.02 worth - your milage may vary.

Could you be a little more specific? That's a bit vague.

Just kidding...thanks for the great tips.
