I've taken up photography pretty recently, and with my second hand nikon n80 and sigma 24-105, still struggling with basic exposure stuff. Anyway here are some a few shots from my early rolls where I'm reasonably satisfied with the exposure; I'd greatly appreciate some critique...

I'll post some more later on. For now, looking forward to your comments!

Needs post processing...
more color, tweaking every lighting aspect, digital noise reduction, etc.

Here's my half-assed 2 minute job. I'm sure a lot of other people could do a lot better.

Brought up the color saturation, used some digital noise filters, and used other controls to try to compensate for the exposure problem. If I had to guess, I'd say your aperture was WAY too open in these shots.

And in the end, no amount of work after the fact can completely compensate for information in the picture lost from over or under exposure.

Edit- I played with the 4th picture a little I left the lighting along and concentrated on cleaning up a lot of that graininess. Again, more color saturation, a slight hue shift to the left, and then evened out the red/green/blue levels.
