Found this old shot on a cd and thought i would play around with it in photoshop.Any opinions on how to make it stand out a bit more?

Well, I tone mapped it abit and adjusted the contrast.. i dunno if it helped or hurt the photo... I do like the overall shot though.

Lightening shadows.

I bumped the contrast a touch, I increased the saturation quite a bit (+30 across the board- I think the bright light kinda washed the pic out a bit on you), and I did a quick unsharp mask.

Honestly, I'm not totally happy with the sharpening... it's got a bit too much halo. You'd want to dork around with it a bit to get the right effect... I actually noticed turning the radius up a touch actually improved the halo, which was kind of surprising.
