Soooo. The wind blew over my cheapie stand today and broke two pocketwizard mounts.... So I need a C-Stand. 20" only goes to 63", and the 40" has a minimum of 53". I'm assuming if I want to use this for outdoor shoots and such, that the 40" will be best? I use my current one for engagements and portraits.. If that helps.

Cheers!
Jake

It's early in the morning.
Several of the experienced folk are West Coast people .. they're still in bed.

don't forget sand bags to prevent your stands from falling over.
and there's always duct tape to tape your PWs to your stands :)

Sand bags are the best investment.

Make sure they are the premium bags tho. I have some with the finest pure white sand from the beaches of exotic locales.

Who makes good bags?

All my sandbags are made by Gucci. ;)

I have no idea honestly, I've had the same ones for many years.

Buy one of each :)

Or you can purchase one set of legs and both sizes of center pole.

Or purchase the 40" and a 4 way clamp and stud for when you need to get down low :)

BTW > I'm using Kupo C stands, very pleased with them...

Cheers, Don

Oh nice! I was looking at Kupo for their affordability. Good to know someone I trust can vouch for them!
