Camera for class?

Yes, from what I've heard, about half of the photographers that have this option, turn it off and rarely use it. Some love it and other hate it. I think it's $40-$50 extra to get the eye-control option...so you save the money and get the 7n...or go for the 7ne and just turn it off if you don't like it.

I have the 7ne, and yes you can turn it off and on. I think it was only like 10 or 20 bucks more for mine, and I actually am one that likes this feature. Although at times I do still turn it off. It's a great camera, very durable, and I would highly recommend it with or without the "e". You won't be disappointed IMO with this, especially if you are looking at a 20d down the road from a digital aspect. The cameras feel the same in your hands, and are quite comparable IMO :) Good luck with whatever you choose :)

i am taking my class with a rebel G...it has a miniplug for the shutter release cable which has come in very handy...its a cheap plastic body but it has all the settings i need
