How about a section for camera phone pictures?

Not sure ive seen that on any other photography forum

I'd be open to it if enough people are likely to get involved. As things go now, I'd probably suggest using the snapshot section.

To me anyway, a camera phone is a camera. It depends on what you do with it as to where you can post its photos. If you're taking a snapshot, then the snapshot forum. If you're taking a thought out photograph, post it in one of the others.
Just because it isn't of the highest quality and it is part of a phone doesn't make it any less of a camera in my eyes. So just treat the photos like you would if you'd have taken with with a Holga, a p&s digital or a top of the line DLSR.

There is also a theme somewhere in the themes section that is something like "cheap equipment" which a lot of people posted camera phone shots in.

Ive seen some good photos taken with camera phones, a few of them where in this forum a while back.

Some phone even have over 2 megapixels these days so the quality can be quite good
