Can I attach a 500D close-up lens to a teleconverter tc-dc8b?

Hi, I have recently bought a canon s3 is and I thinking about buying the accesories lens, my question is if I can connect the 500D to the teleconverter in order to get a bigger magnification (specially for macro photography).
