    Yep, looks like 9 to me (assuming the 'tail' on the far side is the ninth bird). The food you're offering them must suet them just fine. Nice shot.

    There is an extra tail below and trace of a head above the top fat ball.

    It make one wonder on the accuracy of the RSPB Garden watch as there was a flock of over 40 starlings down today . . .try and count that lot!
