not particularly an interesting subject but pretty lights!

wow! the lights are beautifully illuminating the peaceful canal.

very nice.

It sure helps this "vanishing point"-photo that there was not a ripple on the water of the canal. The additional element of repetition (street lights) is thus doubled by the reflections.

i think there was some ripple on the water, otherwise the lights in the water would have been nice round stars as well instead of those stretched out ones.

Yep there where, the long exposure you used smooths them out giving the water a flat motionless appearance. Looks good

I've done a lot of long exposures over a river, I've seen it in my own shots, Not as smooth looking but then again this river never sits even remotely flat surfaced either.
