im lookin into buying some new lenses and getting rid of my XT kit lens. im looking at a 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, and the canon kit lense for the 40D the 28-135 IS USM. any one like or dislike this lense? is it worth the money or should i go for something else?

It's a nice lens except that it's designed for full-frame cameras, and as a result 28mm isn't very wide on cameras like the XT which have a 1.6x crop factor. Another to consider if you still want to go wide is the EF-S 17-85IS lens which is pretty nice.
