Canon 40D Vs Canon 450D - upgrade from a 350D

As per title really. I want to upgrade from my old 350D, have a budget of around £400 - £450 after some recent lens purchases.

I mostly shoot motorsport mixed with a bit of UE and general randomness.

I have been looking at used 40Ds (less than 5000 actuations) and 450Ds. Is there a big advantage of a 40D over the 450D? would you recommend a new 450D over a used 40D? Or would you recommend something else?

I would go with the 40D used. They are great cameras. You wont feel a huge upgrade if you go to the 450d. I have the 450d and regretted buying it a few months later after i played around with the 40D.
