Hi all,
Just switched myself from Sony a7s +28mm f2 to a canon 6D.
The reason I made the switch was because the 70-200mm f4 FE was way out of my budget.
So now I have a budget of either settling myself for

1) Canon 40mm f2.8 for everyday use and 70-200mm f4 non IS for sports (indoor volleyball)

2) canon 40mm f2.8 for everyday use and canon 24-105mm f4 IS for the times I need the reach

3) 24-70mm f2.8 for everything.

Although for everyday use I would like to get a small setup but I believe 6d with the 40mm pancake is pretty compact..

sounds good but for me I'd need a longer lens for wildlife and sports

Purchase what you need. Personally, I would go for the 24-70 f2.8... but that doesn't necessarily work for all indoor volleyball shots.

thanks for the input,
i finally bought the 35mm f2 and canon 70-200mm f4. the compactness of the 35mm means i can use the setup for daily purpose. (i used to have an A7s with 28mm f2 which was very compact) and when i need the reach i can use the 70-200mm f4.

i am not sure if i made the right choice between the 35mm f2 and 40mm f2.8 stm... whats everyones input ?

hard to go wrong with the cheap 40mm 2.8 pancake
