Canon 7d with Tamron 17-50mm

Please guys I just got a 7d canon with a Tamron lense 17-50mm lense, but my pictures will not come out sharp to detail it makes me feel I no nothing about professional photography. pls any advice on what to do before I loose my self as a professional photographers before my clients

Are you shooting at f2.8? If so only a small plane will be in focus. F8 is better for group shots

Thanks I guess this should help but I need a lot of heads up on 7d it's way different to other canon I have worked with

the 7D is different for focusing and other features but with the Tamron 17-50, probably no different from other Canon crop models

Yep, and the light triangle is still the same regardless of gear. Manage your DoF with you aperture setting, and you should be just fine.
