My Mom is looking to pick-up an easy to use digi cam with her air miles. With the miles she has to burn and the book she gave me to look through, the A510 seems to be the one to get.

Any one here ever use one. Pro's and cons would be helpful.

    Thanks much.

Hi, we sell these at work, so i have had a tiny bit of playing with it... Seems pretty easy to use, and compact.

I have the A75. And it is fairly easy to use.

I have the a510. It's a great little camera...very nice image quality... 4x zoom...Auto/Scene Assist/Program modes for simple shooting, as well as manual modes for control over shutter speed/aperture/iso/flash power etc... I don't know if this matters or not, but it's #1 rated on consumer reports' list of 3mp cameras. The only con I would mention is it takes a bit of time (up to 6secs sometimes) for the flash to recycle, which has not really ever affected me personally with the 1000 shots i've taken with it. I'd suggest reading some reviews on it for more in depth.
