Tamron MC4 1.4x adapter Canon EF
Like-new condition. $100. REDUCED TO $80 ********SOLD*********.
will this work with canon xti.........metering? i dont think so but will ask anyway
Yes, it will meter fine.
The only restriction that 1.4x adapters have is that, by their nature, they will lose 1 stop of light. So an f2.8 lens becomes f4, an f4 becomes f5.6, and so on. The camera exposes properly. Slower lenses will take longer to autofocus, and very slow lenses may have to be manually focused. Many people use this converter with the 300mm/f4 to get extra reach.

Thanks all for the interest. The adapter is sold locally.
The fellow who bought it used it on a40D and a 70-200/4 lens, and I was impressed at how well it focuses on very dim and low contrast subjects (bottom bookshelf with dark books; fuzzy blanket in subdued lighting). That looks like a winning combination, fo those who are looking into such things.
