Hey all, when I got my used 40D a few weeks ago, one of the plastic clips inside the eyecup was cracked which allowed the eyecup to easily slip out. It seems that I've lost the eyepiece somewhere and need to get a replacement. I was hoping it would be a simple choice, but it seems there are different varieties. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a replacement? They all seem to be inexpensive, so are some better than others? Thanks!

It's just personal preference really. Some people like more of a 'cup' so that they can block out more light...or even get their face pressed right into the cup. I think this was more common with film cameras, because your only way of seeing the 'image' was through the viewfinder (until you had the film developed). Now with digital, you can take test shots and view them on the screen...and most digital SLR cameras have rather small viewfinders anyway, so they are harder to see.
