Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM long prime lens has launched twenty years, always has been known by lightweight, image sharpness and relatively friendly price. Of course disadvantages are obvious, but there is no anti-shake function. At present, the lens has appeared supply shortages in some regions of the world, CR thus believe has begun developing a new generation of Canon 400mm f/5.6L lens to replace existing products.

It is reported that the new 400m f/5.6L will use the new optical structure and add IS anti-shake function, and increased portability in the original basis, such as weight reduction, shortening the lens cone length.

Earlier Canon Managing Director Mr. Masaya Maeda said 2014 would be Canon "the lens of the Year", Canon EF lens group will continue to promote innovation.

A super telephoto lens can make an ordinary scene into an extraordinary one. Its ability to see surpasses that of the human eye. It can compress images and make them look as if they come from another dimension. It opens up new realms of photographic expression. All EF super telephoto lenses are L-series lenses to provide the highest quality. The USM provides quiet and high-speed autofocusing. These lenses promise outstanding delineation and put your imagination to the test.
