Can anyone tell me anything about this lens: Is it autofocus. does it fit on an elan II camera body . Canon 60-300mm f4-5.6 Samyang Macro FD BL lens

I can't find any info on it...but the 'FD' in the description makes me think that it will not fit. Older Canon SLR cameras (manual focus) had an FD mount...so all the old manual focus lenses are designated FD.

Newer autofocus lenses for Canon EOS cameras are designated EF.

I could be wrong though.

Mike is correct. All of the newer autofocus lenses for Canon are EF. FD is the old breech-lock design that fits older manul cameras up to the early 80's. If your camera is of EOS design FD lenses will only fit using a EF to FD converter. The lens would fit then but your on board meter will not work at all and I do not know what ramifications there will be to image quailty or amount of light leakage.
