What is the difference between EF, EF USM, and EF L USM? And are they all compatable to the 10D?

hello Macro, all Canon EF lenses are compatible with the 10D. From what I hear, some older Sigma cause errors on the 10D, but Sigma replaces or re-programs the lens chip at no charge.

anyhow... EF lenses are Canon's standard autofocus lenses, USM lenses use fast and quiet ultra sonic motors - very nice to use. Canon L glass is the top of the line of the Canon lens range - the price tag is high end too :?

Another question: I was looking at macro lenses and came across a MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo. What is a mp lens and will it work with the 10D?
