Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus

This is a very subjective topic. Here is my opinion:
Canon is good for landscapes and Nikons have good speed and handling. Sonys are average speed, ugly and have inferior image quality. Olympus is small format so only go for it if you want a small camera (the E-420). Don't forget pentax - solid, ergonomic, great with old primes but AF is a bit slow.

What is better?

Depends on what you plan to shoot..... and how much you want to spend.

Keep in mind after you buy the body you have to buy glass :)

iso 800 in the shade..

I'm guessing that's all Olympus? (nevermind I saw your watermark on them duh)

I'll upload a couple from the E-fiver, which I ended up keeping, in a bit.

To all you blind followers/fanboys of marketing hype...

I urge "you" to do some research and try to focus on the type of work you want to do.

All of the contemporary dslr camera's will produce acceptable images for general use.

But, if you you have a specific need, each brand is slightly better at certain things.

Don you're an angry fella. Is that a CANADIAN thing?

The people above are taking the piss. Relax.

Although I agree. Get a Nikon. Or a Canon. The market for used lenses is phenomenal. Image quality for a new photographer is pointless and really at a certain point not much appreciable difference between the manufacturers. If you want to have the widerst access to used equipment go Canon. Nikon is a very close second.

Ahhh, definitely not a Canadian thing....

Let's just say I've let my personal challenges get the better of me tonight.
