Canon S3 vs S5?

I am about to buy a new camera, and had decided on the S3. How much of a difference is the new S5? Is it worth the extra $200 for a novice? Thanks!

Absolutely, positively yes. I just shot some pictures with an S5, and it is a BIG upgrade in a lot of different ways.

Bigger lens, face detection and the DIGIC III processor, bigger LCD, etc... and higher resolution (not that I actually care about that).
