I am looking at getting a Canon Speedlite 550ex flash for my camera. My digital camera has a 'hot shoe' mount while my canon has a 'Shoe Mount'

My question is, will the flash work on my panasonic(digital)?
And if not... is there a reliable adapter/converter that I can buy?

Also, if you have a Speedlite 550ex that you are selling send me an email with some info.

    Thanks!
    Chris

    Sorry Chris no it won't.

Does the Panasonic have lots of contacts on the hot shoe ?? In that case deffinatly not. If it has only one contact then you should be able to use the 550ex , but in manual mode only. ie : you will have to adjust the flash output according to distance apperture and ISO settings. You will not Have TTL control like you have with the Canon SLR.

If the Panasonic has lots of contacts on the hotshoe - then it will be for it's own TTL flashes. I would be to scared to put the 550ex on there, lest i Short or blow something up.
