I'd like some critique on this photograph please.

Not a very interesting subject, and really can't tell what that is. Photo is way too dark and it's not straight. Can you let us know what you were going for with this?

I see the attempt and it's OKAY at best... but you have no subject and there's a bunch of dead space up top (black void) Kick up the exposure, put a subject in the frame and you may have a good pic.

And other than the barrel distortion (probably your 18-55 @ 18mm) it appears the photo is pretty straight

You have some nice atmosphere and processing going on there, but you need a tiny bit more shadow detail, you have to have front to back sharpness in a shot such as this where there is so little detail to pick out.
