Had a very interesting day yesterday with Raymond and Peter. It started off great at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre with crisp blue skies.

We then headed off to find a Snowy and other Owls that Raymond had a line on. This lead Peter and I away from home and eventually into a heavy winter storm. We managed to find a Snowy but in the late day overcast light with the winds blowing hard it made for a tough end to the day. We had a hard time finding this guy when he was down on the ground. He was an older Snowy with almost no markings on him.

It was a 13 hour day with the last few hours in white knuckle driving to get home. It was still better then sitting at home watching TV :) Four more days to the next adventure ;)

Cheers,

Eric

Wow, what a thread! Landscape pics, people pic and bird pics all in one spot. I love the look of the sunshine on the owl, and how special it must have been for people to touch one. All the bird shots are wonderful...I'd love to see them so close up.

~~~Maria is such a cutie pie, and is getting so tall.
~~~The snowy shot looks like a Bateman painting...love it.

I soooo wish I could have joined all of you for this adventure.

nice ones buddy, I like all your raptor shots, but something is crooked in that last one.. was that intensional?

thanks for the nice pics of my gals, they are very nicely done.. that 50-500 sure is a great lens.

Anty, We will get you there. Once Carl sees the photos we will have to make plans for a visit. Wish you could have been along for this one.

I'm very happy that you made it home to share these with us Eric. 5 & 9 are my faves... and that Maria, what a cutie, she is so photogenic! Raymond, you are so lucky to have such beautiful women in your life

that 1st Owl shot is simply one of the bests I've seen

I need to get to the Hawk Conservancy again

Great shots, these are all very cool. And that just might be the cutest squirrell picture I've ever seen. Yes, 2 is perfect. :)
