so today at work an auto-tech came in and asked if i could shoot his car that he just spent 2 days detailing. luckily i had my camera in the car so i gave it a shot. i have never shot a car before, but it was fun. the paint was literally a mirror haha. very difficult to shoot. i used a CP filter but still had a ton of reflections. c&c welcome

I think they're all great but the last one's my favourite, followed by the first one. The last one looks almost menacing. Man you can see the quality workmanship buddy did with his detailing. Nice.

I like the last one the best also but the duck really has to go lol first do with the car. Did you try lower side angle shots and get a rim in there?

These are pretty good. I love the car..

I might have tried to get a little more space between the edge of the car and the edge of the frame... but some people prefer to have the frame filled.

#1 and #4 really stand out for me. The angles you took on the car, combined with the diagonal lines in the background  good stuff. #4's a little dark in the shadowy areas but it doesn't really bother me - especially with the clean reflection of the clouds in the paint. #1... I'd try and get rid of the drainage grate if possible.. other than that it's perfect imo.

haha wow thanks. i am surprised with the feedback im getting. i couldnt really move the car cuz he wouldnt let me and was working on an install haha. i did notice the drain and wanted it gone but o well. i did manage to get him to move the car to another spot. he gave me a little ride in it and i literally felt like i was in a plane haha. i did shoot with a bit more space around the car, but i didnt notice i had 2 filters screwed on lol and you could see the edges of it so i had to crop.

    thanks again!

What filters? Just curious... Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you post one pre-crop? If it's just a sharp vignette that's not so bad..

#3 would have been better withe the wheel turned the other way so you can see the rim (IMO)

Pretty much all of them would have benefited from some fill light as the car is very dark and detail is being lost or very hard to see in the shadow areas.

    Pretty good work overall though.
