About an hour and a half southeast of Seattle, Route 165 crosses over the Carbon River, two hundred feet up on the Fairfax Bridge. All of the following were taken from that bridge, usually at full telephoto.

The last of these was taken with the camera pretty much pointing straight down over the not-very-tall railing. Good thing I didn't suffer from acrophobia...until then!

The "crow's view" of Carbon River Gorge.

Gorgeous! (Pun very intended :D)

Wonderful sight! Just incredible. For someone like me who lives in an extremely flat countryside, these views are just precious.

The last does give me a feeling of vertigo, though... whoa!

Cool shots. Looks like a pretty amazing place.
