    After spending almost a year overseas , in Afghanistan. I would like to know Is there and great spot for landscape around central Texas to photograph ie waterfalls,lakes, urban strustions etc? i would appreciate all the help.

    Yes.


    If you want something more specific, you'll have to define central Texas; that's a lot of area.

    See what national forests are in your area. Then look at there maps. I live by my FS maps.

    Waco area? drive up the road to Bryan and shoot. Farther north....I'll ask my roommate, he's from walnut springs.

    If you are around the Austin area, there are some great places around the Highland Lakes, Perdernales River, downtown Austin, UT. Lots of good places....

    Careful mentioning 'UT' and 'good places to shoot' -- they get kinda sensitive about that.

    Central Texas (a part of which is Texas Hill Country), is a region (and a physiographic section, as it pertains to geography) in the U.S. state of Texas.
