Chat room

Cool!
It gave me a picture of a coffee cup to look at for 30 seconds then crashed my browser.
The version of Java it uses is obviously not Mac-friendly.

It worked for me. Although I had to refresh it a couple of times for it to finally load. What browser are you using? Safari seems to work (relatively) well with it.

This is another reason why I think IRC would work better though ;)

you can use irc://irc.newnet.net/#ThePhotoForum for those that prefer an IRC client :)

Chase just an idea.

You said that a phpmychat wouldnt be possible...because it would have to run of your server.

Why not buy some very cheap hosting? and use phpmychat on that? itll be much less than forking out loads for a proper chat room...

Or...we could buy a TeamSpeak server and use mikes to chat!

Arty I would think the bandwidth throughput would make it more expensive than $50. Still the chat would offer better flexibility with php based code.

Depends...you can get some for a gig..

Ive seen an unlimited package on everything from serverkill...think its £5 a month...so Im sure you can get chat room hosting for cheaper...

first type /server irc.newnet.net
and then type /join #thephotoforum
