I don't know if you're still exploring the chatroom software options for the forum, but i beleive this is quite a good chat room script for vbulletin forums http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71049 and it is free. I seen it in use at a friends forum and it looks good, matching the look of the forum skin.

Might be worth looking into

We have a chat up and running...the link is in the bar at the top of the page along with the usercp and memberlist and all that.

I've steered clear of hosting my own chat on here for now, so we're using an IRC channel and I've installed a java client here on the site that makes it easy for people without IRC knowledge to get in and play around.

I'm also playing around with some scripts for trivia and other fun bits and pieces for the future!
