Hi, this is my first post and I hope the right forum for this question, I am looking for a wide angle zoom for my Canon RebelG Eos I was looking at an ad in the back of Outdoor Photographer and found a Sigma zoom 18-50/3.5-5.6 DG for 109.00 this seems awful cheap, am I missing something here? Your input would be much appreciated, thanks.

That lens is for digital SLR cameras with the smaller "APS" sized sensor. It will not work properly on a 35mm film SLR. For around the same price you should be able to pick up something like the Tokina 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 which does the job quite well.

It wasnt clear in the add it was for digital (but most things are going that way) But it does say DG, I should have figured it out, thanks for the tip on the other lense.
