TPF Noob!
hey everyone, my name is lauren. i live in NYC and i'm turning 20 on tuesday (june 29th). the photography bug first bit me when i was a kid...one of my earliest memories is my mom snapping pictures with her classic olympus om-1. she never let me touch it ("this is NOT a toy, lauren.") but it's always fascinated me!
through school i was more often than not the designated photographer among my friends, spending a lot of my allowance on developing film. a couple of years ago i moved over to the digital world, but recently i've started to miss the thrill of film.
i'm diving headfirst into it this time. for my birthday my dad has agreed to buy me the legendary canon ae-1, and i can't wait to start shooting! i want to learn all there is to know.
i've done my share of browsing the various photography forums on the web, and i settled on this one. everyone seems really friendly and helpful.
hopefully you'll be seeing some of my shots, when i've gained enough confidence to post!
