Im a very newbe so be gentle , today i did take a glass chessboard and made some pics, just for fun.
Maybe its totally stupid what im doing, but i wanted to try something different then a active sports foto.
Hope you guys like it a little

It's actually a really nice idea. The reflection on the queen suggests you lit it from the front, but a glass chess board is crying out to be lit from underneath and/or from behind! Especially through that frosted king and the frosted squares!

Thank you very much !
Since i dont have have a studio, is was taken on the floor and for the background i used a black blanket.
I had light enough but to make the chess pieces come out more i used a flash.

You don't need a studio

If you keep your black blanket background, place the chess board on a few books so you can get your flash underneath, you should get some nice light diffusing through the frosted pieces and squares on the board
