I love the expression on the first one, combined with the eyes. Priceless. I always find it really hard to get a good picture of a child from above but it looks like you did it with the first one. I don't like the second as much,maybe because I can't see her eyes or her other hand. I'm a noob FWIW.

I like her expressions. On your next try get lower so youre her height, down in her world, get her eyes. I have a feeling that sometimes we shoot downward to avoid background distractions. This angle made the back ground simple. I think a step back would've captured her full head and I am assuming a pony tail. You've Good focus, no distractions. Just be careful of the angles and what is cut off.

^^^^^ What he said. I heard that tip a while ago on here and I haven't looked back I always get down to her height for every picture. But I really think that #1 is the RARE occasion where it really worked. But I think generally it's a hard thing to make work.
