What?
You do, too ?!?!? (Is loving this kind of green infectious and spreading???)

And are you sure this one's a moth?
Not a kind of butterfly?

what you have here is a butterfly and not a moth. i am not sure of the variety but it's one of the blues. a moth has a feathery looking antennae and your butterfly does not.

nice shots by the way!

luck!

yes, i think i have been infected... (but in a good way, right?!) i like all colors, but the green bg in that second photo is particulary pleasing...

Thanx guys I was quite pleased with these.

Squacks: I realized that after doing some searching may be some sort of Icaricia? I tried to edit the main title but it didn't change.

I could change it for you.
What word would you want to have there?

This page had some ID's that looked that pretty close... especially the "Blues" at the bottom of the page... http://www.rlephoto.com/butterflies/000gossamerwings.htm

JTH: Awesome, I appreciate the link...

THey look so similar and it's hard to tell them apart....guess I should learn :)

that's what i thought too... then i came across this "Key" that is supposed to explain how to ID them... :er: it's all way over my head, i was looking up words in the dictionary left and right... http://www.ndsu.nodak.edu/ndsu/ndmoths/key.htm

i used this page to ID some butterflies that I shot a few weeks ago --> http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/distr/lepid/bflyusa/bflyusa.htm. It was pretty helpful.

Title changed.
Sorry that it took me so long but I had to go to bed and get a bit of beauty sleep first ;). (Not that that helps ... )

Beautiful butterfly, great shot!
