It was well worth it. Numbers 2 and 3 tie for my favourite in these.

I am curious as to whether or not you waited until after the sunset and took some more images. I have found that often the 10-15 minutes after sunset can produce some spectacular colours in the sky.

I like 2 best but it looks like you are in a rather polluted environment there.

Nice - waiting around can often give you some good colour as well. One of my best sunsets was in Death Valley a few years ago. The clouds were at the right altitude and about 10 to 15 minutes after the sunset, the entire sky was a reddish pink.
