Hello all. My brother in law and I took some pics of my daughter last night. Thought I'd post some and get your opinions. Any comments or suggestions?

There are a couple of soft ones, as you're no doubt aware. They seem stronger when you've cropped close in. You definitely caught some cute giggles here! :) I don't care for the orange tint of the last one, but that's just me. ;)

Like Terri said, great captures of her emotions! Several do seem a bit soft, what were your settings here? Looks like motion blur on a few from a slower shutter speed. Well done and adorable subject :D

The first 5 were taken on my IST DS with a manual 50 mm lense so some of my exif info is missing. I think they were all at ISO-800, f/1.7 with about a 1/60 shutter speed in manual mode. The last one was taken by my brother-in-law with an Olympus at f/3.2, 1/30 and ISO 400. Not sure how that one got an orange tint to it, but I kinda like it.

ohhh she's soooo cute!!! :D:D:D wonderful pictures and woderful model!!! :D

I like the first one the best.

Terri and Allison...by "soft" do you mean a large aperture and shallow DOF?
